What is your career ambition and what have you done to prepare for it?
I want to graduate from college with an MBA. I had to study very hard all the time, and I also participated a lot in community service to gain experience from communication with others. I believe the more I learn, the better I will be in the future
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of having achieved?
I am proud of myself as the President of the Independence High School Vietnamese Club with more than 200 members. I had the chance to use my leadership skill to lead the whole club organizing New Year Show, got involved in community service to help other as well as keeping our Vietnamese culture. All the things I had done as a president for my club had made me feel happy, and proud of myself that I had contributed and done something to keep my Vietnamese culture alive always
What person would you most like to meet? (Describe in detail why)
If I could turn back the time then I would most like to meet Kiki again. Kiki is not a human being, it was my wonderful and loyal dog that died after my family had gone to America. Kiki is like a best friend to me, and I love her so much that I want to be with her forever
What do you believe is the biggest obstacle you have been faced with in your life and how did it affect or change you?
My biggest obstacle is that I had no choice, but to left my beautiful country, my school, my friends... and went with my parents to a strange place, America. The word "Freedom" had changed me from an innocent Vietnamese girl with a wonderful life in Vietnam, now I had to learn, and grow up to be a Vietnamese American girl speaking a second language, English, living a new life
If you were crowned MISS AO DAI, what will you do to help Vietnamese Community or others?
Being Miss Ao Dai, I am going to represent for the Vietnamese community to participate in all the events and communicate well with other ethnic groups to build up the power of cooperation, and understanding better others' culture. I will also do a lot of community services to help other young Vietnamese American to learn more about Vietnamese culture, and to keep it alive, and be proud of themself of who they really are, Vietnamese people
