Driving to the Arena

Southbound 280 Exit at Bird Avenue. Turn left onto Bird Avenue and continue as it becomes Autumn Street.
Northbound 280 Exit onto Route 87 (Guadalupe Pkwy) northbound. Exit either at Santa Clara Street or Julian Street.
Southbound Route 87 Exit at Julian Street.
Northbound Route 87 Exit either at Santa Clara Street or Julian Street.
Southbound 101 Exit onto Route 87 (Guadalupe Pkwy) then exit at Julian Street.
Northbound 101 Exit onto Interstate 280 north-bound. Then exit onto Route 87 (Guadalupe Pkwy) northbound. Exit either at Santa Clara Street or Julian Street.
Southbound 680 Southbound 680 becomes Interstate 280 northbound. Then exit onto Route 87 (Guadalupe Pkwy) northbound. Exit either at Santa Clara Street or Julian Street.
Southbound 880 Exit at Coleman Avenue. Turn left onto Coleman Avenue (crossing over the free-way). Proceed on Coleman Avenue to Julian Street or Market Street.
Northbound 17 Exit onto Interstate 280 south-bound and exit at Bird Avenue. Turn left onto Bird Avenue and continue as it becomes Autumn Street.

Regardless of which route you take, once exiting from the free-ways, follow the signs directing you to available parking.

There are approximately 1,700 parking spaces on-site and 8,000 additional spaces within a ten minute walk of the Arena. See map for the location of premium and economy-priced parking facilities.

Public Transportation Options

The Bus The following Transportation Agency bus routes offer convenient service to and from the Arena. Take Route 22 (Eastridge-Palo Alto), Route 64 (San Jose-Almaden Valley via Almaden Expwy), Express Route 180 (Fremont BART-San Jose), Route 68 (Gilroy via Monterey Hwy). Light Rail Take light rail to the Santa Clara Street station, where you can walk to the Arena or board the Free Arena Shuttle bus. Extra light rail trains will be added for major Arena events. Call 408/321-2300 for more information.
BART Take Express Bus Route 180 from the Fremont BART station for direct service to and from the Arena. Call 408/321-2300 for more information.
CalTrain Service from any CalTrain station between San Francisco and San Jose (the San Jose Diridon Station) is available before and after all Sharks home games and other events. Call 1-800/660-4287 for exact departure and arrival times.


Free Arena Shuttle

The Transportation Agency operates free shuttle buses before and after San Jose Arena events. Service begins 90 minutes before scheduled events and operates every 15 minutes (more frequently for large events). Call 408/321-2300 for more information. See map for shuttle stop locations.
